The FachPack – the trade fair for packaging, processing and technology will be held at the Nuremberg exhibition venue from September 24 to 26. It’s the most eminent trade show in the field of packaging solutions and logistics: packaging machinery, new materials, processes optimization and solutions for handling of goods are the main issues in this exhibition attended by operators from worldwide.
FachPack brings together more than 1,600 exhibitors from the packaging process chain in 12 exhibition halls with roughly 45,000 trade visitors from packaging-intensive sectors.
The key theme is “Environmentally friendly packaging” with a focus on eco-friendly packing and eco-sustainability of logistical processes.
The subject matter is currently of greater relevance to the industry than any other one. Opinion leaders and packaging specialists will debate the issue during different panels. The programme is divided into forums, special shows, common stands and meeting points about circular economy, packaging innovations, processing and technology.
The three main topics for an environmentally friendly development are: reusable packing, new packaging materials and 100% recyclable packaging. According to market observes the 100% recycled packaging will take more than five years to arrive on the market. So far, the industry is aware that these trends have the power to change the packaging industry.
Moreover, another key topic of the current edition is the smart packaging, a solution able to meet the needs of the digital factory and turn the simple pack into a device for digital processes, for example the embedded RFID tag (Radio-frequency identification).
Ellepack, which is experienced and ready for the key issues of environment and smart factory, will be attending the event. We will display biodegradable and compostable trays, clamshells and thermoforming solutions for smart factory.
